Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its Accounting + Finance team. You will lead tax planning, preparation, and review for high net worth individuals, corporations, and partnerships, and provide innovative tax consulting to clients.

You will oversee engagements, manage billing and budgets, and mentor the Tax team while staying current with tax law changes to ensure compliance. This role offers a dynamic, supportive environment and clear growth paths.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax planning and compliance.
• Experience with federal and state tax for high net worth individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
• Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements.
• Strong knowledge of S Corp structures, tax returns, and review processes.
• Excellent leadership skills and ability to motivate a team.
• Excellent client service and communication with non-tax professionals, under pressure.

• Develop and deliver innovative tax planning strategies that save clients’ money and grow their businesses.
• Stay updated with industry trends and changes in tax laws to ensure company’s compliance.

4. Perform technical tax review and approval of all tax returns and governmental tax examinations of any complexity.
5. Serve as a key leader in our firm's Tax team, providing leadership, counseling, and career guidance for the development and motivation of the team.
6. Develop and deliver innovative tax planning strategies that save our clients’ money and help grow their businesses.
7. Stay updated with industry trends and changes in tax laws to ensure company's compliance.

Qualifications

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax planning and compliance, with a focus on federal and state tax for high net worth individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
3. Proven experience in managing multiple client engagements simultaneously, with a strong ability to meet and exceed client expectations.
4. Strong knowledge of S Corp structures, tax returns, and tax review processes.
5. Excellent leadership skills with an ability to motivate and lead a team.
6. Exceptional client service skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to clearly explain complex tax issues to non-tax professionals.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality.
