Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dynamic Tax Manager to lead our Accounting + Finance team, delivering strategic tax planning and compliance for high net worth individuals, corporations, and partnerships. You will manage federal and state tax matters and oversee complex tax reviews.

You will guide the Tax team with leadership, mentoring, and process improvements, while staying current with changing tax laws and industry trends. This role offers a collaborative and supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s or CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in tax planning and compliance for high net worth individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate tax planning, preparation, and review of federal and state income taxes for high net worth individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
• Provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients.
• Manage risk and financial performance of engagements including billing, collections, and budget for assigned projects.
• Perform technical tax review and approval of all tax returns and governmental tax examinations of any complexity.
• Serve as a key leader in our firm's Tax team, providing leadership, counseling, and career guidance for the development and motivation of the team.
• Develop and deliver innovative tax planning strategies that save our clients’ money and help grow their businesses.
• Stay updated with industry trends and changes in tax laws to ensure company's compliance.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax planning and compliance, with a focus on federal and state tax for high net worth individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
• Proven experience in managing multiple client engagements simultaneously, with a strong ability to meet and exceed client expectations.
• Strong knowledge of S Corp structures, tax returns, and tax review processes.
• Excellent leadership skills with an ability to motivate and lead a team.
• Exceptional client service skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to clearly explain complex tax issues to non-tax professionals.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality.
