Role: Tax Manager

Based in California, we are a leading regional accounting and advisory firm, with 75 years of serving as trusted advisors to a diverse client base. Our firm combines the personalized service of a local firm with the expertise and capabilities typically found in national organizations. With a team of over 80 professionals, we specialize in providing comprehensive tax, audit, and consulting services to middle-market businesses, high-net-worth individuals, and nonprofit organizations.

We are seeking a Tax Supervisor to join our growing tax practice in a fully remote capacity but must be in Pacific, Mountain, or Central time zone. The ideal candidate will assist with complex tax planning, preparation, and review of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
• Research tax issues and provide technical guidance to clients and staff
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and exceptional service
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff
• Stay current with changing tax laws and regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor's in accounting or equivalent required
• CPA license required
• 7+ years public accounting tax experience
• Experience with partnerships, S-corporations, C-corporations, trusts and individual tax returns
• Strong communicator with ability to clearly convey complex tax matters to clients and team members
• Experience with CCH Axcess
