The firm seeks a Tax Manager to own a multi-million dollar tax book, deliver every job on time and on budget, and keep clients thrilled with the work. You’ll lead a team, plan strategically, and drive client results from a remote setting.

Qualifications

• CPA or EA license required and 6+ years in public accounting.
• Experience leading and developing a tax team.
• Strong knowledge of individual, corporate, and partnership tax; NC experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reviews completed within 3 days and returns delivered within 2 weeks.
• Create a Tax Savings Blueprint for every eligible client.
• Lead year-end planning meetings with applicable clients before December 31.
• Coach a preparer team to identify planning opportunities on each return.

What you’ll own in year one

• Reviews done within 3 days, returns delivered within 2 weeks

• A Tax Savings Blueprint for every eligible client

• Year-end planning meetings with every applicable client before December 31

• A preparer team you coach to spot planning opportunities on every return

How you’ll work

• Fully remote, U.S.-based, flexible schedule with shared core hours

• Reporting directly to the CEO

You’ll fit if you

• Hold an active CPA or EA license and have 6+ years in public accounting

• Have led and developed a tax team

• Know individual, corporate, and partnership tax (trust and North Carolina experience a plus)

• Get genuinely excited about the strategy behind the return, and want to teach your team to see it too

• Know when a return is done, and ship it

• Can explain tax to a practice owner in plain English

Pay and benefits

$115K to $130K DOE, plus incentives for referrals and firm benchmarks. Health, dental, and vision options, company-paid life insurance, 401(k) with match, flexible time off, paid holidays including the week between Christmas and New Year’s, CPE and licenses covered, and a full home office setup.
