Parallel Advisors is looking for a results-driven, experienced Tax Manager for our rapidly expanding tax department. You will be joining a fast-growing Registered Investment Advisory firm with a culture of entrepreneurship, education, and collaboration. Our Tax Manager will work closely with our Tax Team, clients, and financial advisors to deliver high-touch, comprehensive service to our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of complex tax issues, excellent client-facing capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, personalized environment.

You will be joining a fast-growing Registered Investment Advisory firm with a culture of entrepreneurship, education, and collaboration. Our Tax Manager will work closely with our Tax Team, clients, and financial advisors to deliver high-touch, comprehensive service to our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of complex tax issues, excellent client-facing capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, personalized environment.

This position will work to aid our organization in maintaining a high level of service to our clients in the areas of tax compliance, tax advisory, and proactive planning. You may also be asked to work with other cross-functional teams on other duties, such as financial projections, which support our service model and the overall mission of the Firm.

This is a fully remote role. It can be based in any state Parallel Advisors, LLC operates in.

Primary Responsibilities

• Preparation of complex tax returns for high-net-worth individuals and their related business and investment entities.
• Analysis of client books (e.g. QBO) for extraction of pertinent tax data and to propose year-end adjustments where appropriate.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external client communications regarding tax matters, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness
• Prepare Quarterly & Year-End Tax Projections for clients and compute estimated tax payments.
• Perform tax research and recommend solutions to client tax questions as needed.
• Act as point person for assigned clients, responding to technical questions and requests from clients and/or advisors as they arise.
  
  

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Active CPA license or IRS Enrolled Agent (CPA preferred)
• 7+ years of experience preparing complex tax returns for high-net-worth clients
• Experience with Lacerte and SurePrep (or equivalent) required
• Experience with QuickBooks Online preferred
• Ability to use deductive reasoning to identify or determine if the client qualifies for credits or deductions
• Exceptional analytical skills for solving mathematical problems
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
• Capability to manage multiple demands and competing priorities.
• Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
• CRM experience (Salesforce preferred) a plus.
