Job summary

The Gilder Search Group is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Tax Manager in Ohio. This role moves beyond compliance into leadership, client advisory, practice growth, and long-term career advancement.

You will lead complex engagements, mentor teams, and partner with Directors and Principals to expand into planning and business development, with hybrid work options and a path toward Director-level leadership.

Qualifications

• CPA required.
• Approximately 5–8+ years of public accounting tax experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local taxation.
• Experience managing corporate, partnership, trust, and individual tax engagements.
• Proven ability to coach and develop professionals.
• Exceptional communication and client relationship skills.
• Desire to participate in practice growth and leadership.
• Commitment to continuous learning and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tax tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex client engagements across corporate, partnership, trust, and individual tax.

Lead Complex Client Engagements: Manage corporate, partnership, trust, and individual tax engagements from planning through delivery while ensuring technical excellence, exceptional client service, and profitable execution.

Develop High‑Performing Teams: Coach, mentor, and develop Senior Associates, Staff, and Interns while fostering a collaborative environment built on accountability, continuous learning, and professional growth.

Become a Trusted Advisor: Help business owners navigate complex tax and financial decisions by providing proactive planning, practical recommendations, and long‑term strategic guidance.
