Job summary

Distinct | North America in Pompano Beach seeks a Tax Manager with 5+ years in public accounting tax. You’ll prepare and review 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120 and 1120S returns and manage business-owner and HNW client relationships with confidence.

Salary is $130k to $160k, plus benefits including health insurance, a 401(k) with employer match, profit sharing and flexible hours. There’s real potential to move toward partnership, with Partners retiring and a gradual handover, but no pressure to pursue

Qualifications

• 5+ years of recent Public Accounting tax experience.
• Proficient in preparing and reviewing 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120 and 1120S.
• Experience managing business owners and high-net-worth client relationships.
• Able to review complex tax work and mentor junior staff.
• CPA preferred or actively working toward it.

Responsibilities

Tax Manager | Pompano Beach | $130k to $160k+

It's quite refreshing to find a CPA firm that understands not everyone has the same career ambitions.

Some people want to become Partner, build something of their own and eventually have a say in how the business is run. Others just want to earn good money, enjoy their work and have a life outside of tax season.

This firm is happy with either.

They're a small, independent CPA firm in Pompano Beach with an established client base and Partners who have no interest in turning the place into another corporate accounting firm.

You'll have the freedom to manage your clients, make decisions and get on with your job without someone constantly looking over your shoulder.

Two of the Partners are starting to think about retirement, and rather than selling the firm, they'd like to find people who could eventually take over. You'll have the chance to build relationships with their clients, work directly alongside them and gradually become more involved in running the practice.
