Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns.
  • Knowledge of tax software and MS Office.
  • Strong ability to meet deadlines and solve problems.
  • Exceptional client service and ability to develop client relationships.
  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
  • Analytical skills with detail orientation.

Responsibilities

Are you a seasoned tax professional with a knack for strategic planning and a passion for number crunching? We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Permanent Tax Manager to join our team in the Accounting and Finance industry. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organization where you will play a crucial role in managing and executing tax strategies. You will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related activities, including tax planning and compliance, ensuring adherence to federal and state tax laws, and providing guidance on tax-related issues. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

  • 1. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.

  • 2. Manage members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and state tax returns.

  • 3. Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.

  • 4. Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.

  • 5. Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
