Tax Manager / Senior Tax Leader (HNW Individuals) – Chicago, Loop, 1-2 days Hybrid

Join a rapidly scaling, privately held tax and advisory platform, delivering complex tax solutions to high-net-worth individuals. This is a growth hire driven by strong inbound client demand, rather than outbound business development. You will be stepping into sophisticated work with immediate impact and a clear path to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex HNW/UHNW individual tax returns
• Oversee staff work while remaining hands‑on in execution
• Support onboarding of new clients from a steady referral pipeline
• Advise on tax strategy, planning, and optimization
• Work across complex structures including: multi-entity ownership layers; significant asset bases; unique, high‑judgment tax scenarios
• Partner cross‑functionally to improve workflows and delivery

Qualifications

• HNW / UHNW individual tax experience (not basic 1040 work)
• Proven ability to both prepare and review tax work
• Exposure to complex individual structures (entities, investments, planning strategies)
• Public accounting background preferred (Big 4 + smaller firm or family office ideal)
• Ability to operate in deadline‑driven, fast‑moving environment
• CPA required
