We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Tax Manager to join our growing Accounting and Finance team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned tax professional to make a significant impact within a well-established and innovative organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax accounting functions, including planning, compliance, and audit. This role requires a strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations, as well as a deep knowledge of accounting principles and practices. The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the preparation and review of corporate federal, state, and local income tax returns and estimates.
• Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies.
• Manage audits by tax authorities and coordinate with legal counsel as needed.
• Review and approve tax-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Keep abreast of current developments in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify potential impact on the organization.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide tax expertise, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strategic planning.
• Manage and maintain the company’s tax database and related software.
• Provide input on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager or similar role within the accounting and finance industry.
• Proficient knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
• Strong understanding of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements and experience with tax-related software.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax information clearly and concisely.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
