Job summary

Eide Bailly LLP seeks a tax professional in Colorado to prepare and review returns for individuals and businesses, with CPA or EA credentials and 5-7 years of public accounting experience. You will work with a tax team on planning, client interaction, and special projects, ensuring compliance and maximizing client benefits.

You will mentor staff, support business development, and help manage client relationships while staying current with IRS rules and evolving tax regulations.

Qualifications

• CPA license or Enrolled Agent certification.
• 5-7 years of tax experience in public accounting.
• Extensive knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations.
• Keeps up-to-date with changing tax rules and policy.

Typical Day in the Life

• Prepares, reviews, and signs individual, business, and other types of tax returns for clients in various types of entities and industries.
• Working with the tax team to ensure the various components of the tax process are performed -- including tax planning, client interaction and performing special tax projects.
• Looking at tax situations from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied.
• Developing solutions and communicating those solutions to the engagement team and client.
• Manages client relationships by monitoring client needs and building value into professional service.
• Participates in the area of business development.
• May assist with client billings to ensure they reflect work performed.
• Supervises and delegates duties to Associate and Senior Associate level staff.
• Provides mentoring and technical training for employees in the tax department.
• Attends training seminars, professional development, and networking events.

Who You Are

• You have Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• You have a valid CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification.
• You have 5-7 years of tax experience within public accounting.
• You have extensive knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations.
• You actively stay up-to-date on the ever-changing tax industry's regulations and policies.
• You are a self-starter who enjoys working independently and in a team environment.
• You are able to focus on complex tasks and will quickly understand the firm's comprehensive compliance processes.

Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.

Compensation

$112,000 - $136,000. Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
