Eide Bailly LLP in Glendale, CA is seeking an experienced tax professional to join our public accounting team as a Senior Tax Professional. You will prepare and review individual and business tax returns, coordinate with clients and team, and ensure IRS compliance while mentoring staff.

Responsibilities include tax planning, client interaction, and contributing to business development. Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA license or EA certification.
• 5-7 years of tax experience in public accounting.
• Extensive knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations.
• Must stay up-to-date with tax regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and sign individual and business tax returns.
• Collaborate with tax team on planning and projects.
• Ensure max tax benefit by reviewing tax positions.
• Develop solutions and communicate with team and clients.
• Manage client relationships and add value to engagements.
• Assist with client billings to reflect work performed.
• Supervise and mentor Associate and Senior Associate staff.
• Provide mentoring and technical training in the tax department.
• Attend trainings, seminars, and networking events.

Typical Day in the Life

• Prepares, Reviews, and Sign individual, business, and other types of tax returns for clients in various types of entities and industries.
• Working with the tax team to ensure the various components of the tax process are performed -- including tax planning, client interaction and performing special tax projects.
• Looking at tax situations from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied.
• Developing solutions and communicating those solutions to the engagement team and client.
• Manages client relationships by monitoring client needs and building value into professional service.
• Participates in the area of business development.
• May assist with client billings to ensure they reflect work performed.
• Supervises and delegates duties to Associate and Senior Associate level staff.
• Provides mentoring and technical training for employees in the tax department.
• Attends training seminars, professional development, and networking events.

Who You Are

• You have Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• You have a valid CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification.
• You have 5-7 years of tax experience within public accounting.
• You have extensive knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations.
• You actively stay up-to-date on the ever-changing tax industry's regulations and policies.
• You are a self-starter who enjoys working independently and in a team environment.
• You are able to focus on complex tasks and will quickly understand the firm’s comprehensive compliance processes.

Compensation $121,500.00 - $154,000.00

Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
