$100,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

Founded 20+ years ago, we are a client-centric CPA firm based in Forth Worth, Texas. Our company specializes in tax services, business consulting, accounting, assurance, and analytics - within diverse industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, and real estate. We are growing and looking to add a Tax Manager to the mixture.

Position Overview

The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing the tax compliance and planning processes for the organization. This role involves ensuring adherence to federal and state tax regulations, managing tax audits, and providing strategic tax advice to optimize the company's tax position.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the tax compliance process for federal and state tax returns
• Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities
• Coordinate and assist with tax audits conducted by the IRS and state tax authorities
• Review tax provisions and ensure accurate financial reporting of tax obligations
• Provide guidance and support to internal teams on tax-related matters
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
• Prepare detailed tax reports and presentations for management
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Master's degree in Accounting or Tax is strongly preferred
• CPA certification is required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax
• Management experience is also required
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
• Experience with tax audits and IRS dealings
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in tax software and accounting systems
