Sodexo is seeking a Tax Manager for our Facilities Maintenance business.

This is a remote role.

You will play a crucial role in shaping our financial future by:

1. Analyzing the tax implications of activities, projects, and investments to inform decision-making.
2. Minimizing tax liabilities and maximizing after-tax profits and cash flows.
3. Preparing tax returns and reports to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the primary tax contact for Facilities Maintenance services compliance and research.
• Ensure Sodexo compliance with state and local sales tax regulations.
• Provide guidance to personnel and departments on sales tax processes and questions.
• Work with vendors on resale certificates.
• Review contracts for sales tax issues.
• Handle sales tax compliance, including filings, reconciliations, refunds, and rulings.
• Train team members on tax laws, procedures, and research.
• Lead projects and identify tax savings initiatives.
• Develop process improvements and provide leadership in staff development.
• Maintain internal controls and update relevant tax software systems.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred.
• 6-8 years of Tax or Accounting experience, including 4+ years in Sales Tax.
• Experience with Vertex, Taxware-GTD, SAP preferred.
• Knowledge of multi-state sales tax laws.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently.
• Travel as necessary.
