Brewer Morris in Connecticut seeks a Manager of Tax Controversy to join its team on a hybrid schedule, located in Shelton, Bethel or Hamden. You will manage federal, state, and local tax controversy matters for individuals and businesses, including audits, notices, appeals, and dispute resolution. CPA/JD/EA preferred with 5+ years for Manager; 8+ for Director, strong tax knowledge and public accounting background.

Qualifications

• CPA, JD, or EA preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience for Manager level; 8+ years for Director level.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax procedures.
• Public accounting experience preferred.

Our client is a highly respected Regional CPA Fir m who are actively seeking a talented Manager of Tax Controversy to join its team of experienced tax and accounting professionals at either their Shelton, Bethel or Hamden, CT office on a Hybrid Schedule.

This role will manage federal, state, and local tax controversy matters for individuals and businesses, including audits, notices, appeals, and dispute resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong technical tax knowledge, excellent communication skills, and experience representing clients before taxing authorities.
