Job Details

We are seeking a seasoned and passionate Tax Manager to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. This role is ideal for an individual who is a problem-solver, possesses strong analytical skills, has great communication skills and has a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative environment, where they can make a significant impact on our organization's financial operations.

Responsibilities

As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for a broad range of duties, including

  • Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Utilizing QuickBooks to manage and maintain financial records and transactions.
  • Providing innovative tax planning and reviewing complex income tax returns.
  • Identifying and mitigating tax risks.
  • Coordinating accounting staff and managing tax compliance workload.
  • Enhancing and implementing tax preparation processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations and ensuring the company's compliance.
  • Assisting with tax audits and tax returns.
  • Preparing quarterly and annual tax reports.
  • Collaborating with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Tax Manager position, candidates must possess the following qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on preparing and reviewing complex tax returns.
  • Active CPA license
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other financial management software.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax information clearly.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • A high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
