Job summary

SourcePro Search, LLC is seeking a Tax Legal Assistant to support tax attorneys in Manhattan. The role is full-time and on-site, handling legal document prep, attorney scheduling, client communications, and general administrative tasks related to tax matters.

The ideal candidate has roughly two years of legal support experience, strong MS Office skills, and sharp proofreading and written communication abilities. The position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Legal support experience preferred (≈2 years).
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent proofreading and written communication.
• Attention to detail on dates, names, and figures.
• Ability to manage shifting priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Organize tax-related correspondence and supporting records, coordinate signatures, and prepare submission materials under attorney direction.
• Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, track deadlines, and flag conflicts.
• Support time entry, prebill review, invoice revisions, expense reports, and new matter intake.
• Prepare, format, and proofread agreements, engagement letters, correspondence, and presentations.
• Maintain electronic matter files in iManage with naming/version control and retention procedures.
• Communicate with clients, accountants, outside counsel, and internal teams.
• Complete court e-filings as needed and maintain submission confirmations.
