Job summary

Rudler, PSC offers a seasonal, paid, part-time Tax Internship designed to give students hands-on experience in a professional tax environment. Interns work with CPAs, participate in real client engagements, and learn the tax preparation process from data collection to return filing.

Interns gain exposure to professional tax software, training, and mentorship, with flexibility around class schedules. There is potential for extension or full-time opportunities based on performance and business

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Freshmen to Seniors welcomed to apply.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a high-volume season.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Load and organize client documents into tax software with accurate source data.
• Prepare individual tax returns (Form 1040) and schedules for common situations.
• Prepare state and local income tax returns with federal return coordination.
• Prepare estimated tax vouchers and quarterly payment calculations.
• Prepare extension requests.
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
