Job summary

Boulay's Tax Department in Mankato, Minnesota is seeking an Intern to assist with preparing individual and business income tax returns while gaining exposure to tax planning and research. You will work with clients across multiple industries and benefit from in-house training and direct mentorship.

The internship runs January through April, is paid, full-time, and includes opportunities to develop professionally and prepare for CPA licensure in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting and/or 150 credit hours.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA and a solid track record of academic achievements.
• Completion of intermediate accounting course(s).
• Completion of some Tax and/or Audit course(s) by time of internship.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Exemplary communication and organizational skills.
• Strong desire to learn and develop professionally.
• Motivated to serve clients.
• Desire to be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Prepare income tax returns (individual, partnership, multistate, corporate, and other).
• Assist with quarterly planning.
• Respond to inquiries from Federal and State taxing authorities.
• Conduct tax research projects.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting

150 credit hours

Intermediate accounting courses

Tax and/or Audit coursework
