Job summary

Wipfli, a respected accounting firm, is seeking interns to join our tax-focused team in person. Interns will perform accounting and tax-related tasks, learn client service, and support engagement leaders while developing technical skills in tax software and analytics.

You must be pursuing an Accounting degree, aiming for CPA eligibility, and demonstrate strong communication and time-management abilities. This role offers hands-on experience and professional growth within a collaborative

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting, with corporate or individual taxation coursework.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Aim to sit for CPA exam after graduation.
• Data Analytics coursework or Big Data preferred.
• Ability to think independently and make good decisions.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate, positive and professional manner.
• Gather information for completion of required documents.
• Use data analysis to discover information and patterns for recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.
• Prepare individual, business and fiduciary tax returns and projections.
• Use current tax and accounting software applications.
• Research tax issues and related financial reports.
• Conduct limited tax return interviews as needed.
