Job summary

Bennett Thrasher in Denver is seeking tax internship candidates for a Summer 2027 internship. Interns will gain exposure to several areas of Tax, including return preparation, planning assignments, research projects and projections, with responsibilities similar to a first-year staff.

You will work with professionals across practices, receive mentoring through the Buddy program, and contribute to client work while enjoying a culture that values growth, flexibility, and a family-like atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Pursuing accounting degree with GPA 3.2+.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
• Must be able to work 40 hours a week.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of accounting and auditing standards/theory
• Accurately and efficiently prepare tax returns and utilize feedback to prevent repeating errors
• Prepare income tax projections and estimate calculations for clients
• Conduct research, analysis, development and summarization of financial information
• Analyze accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
• Maintain and organize client files in accordance with firm standards
• Work effectively with all levels of firm leadership to provide quality service to clients
• Receive mentoring through our Buddy program

Duties will include tax return preparation, preparation of tax planning assignments as well as research projects and tax projections. • Working towards undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting with a GPA if 3.2 or higher (junior, senior, or masters student)
