Larson Gross, a public accounting firm, offers a Tax Intern position for Spring/Summer 2027 to gain hands-on experience in tax compliance, research, and client service while building foundational skills for a career in tax and public accounting.

You will learn from experienced professionals, work on federal and state returns, use tax software, and participate in training and networking opportunities, developing technical and professional skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Interest in a career in tax or public accounting.
• Intention to pursue CPA licensure preferred.
• Strong academic performance.
• Previous accounting or internship experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
• Organize financial information and use tax software to support tax preparation.
• Prepare basic workpapers, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Research tax laws, credits, deductions, and regulatory changes.
• Learn how tax professionals identify opportunities and provide value to clients.
• Work alongside associates, senior associates, managers, and other professionals.
• Ask questions, receive feedback, and develop your technical and professional skills.
• Participate in training, networking, and other professional development opportunities.
• Build experience using technology, automation, AI, and other tools that are changing how accounting professionals work.
