Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking a Tax Intern for Core Tax Services to assist in preparing returns and extensions under supervision, gaining hands-on exposure to tax practice and client service. The role includes tax compliance, ASC 740 considerations, and supporting tax consulting activities.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an Accounting program, pursuing a master's degree preferred, with strong written and verbal communication, leadership experience, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Masters program in Accounting or other relevant field required
• Pursuing a masters degree in Accounting or other relevant field preferred
• Leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns and extensions under supervision
• Assist with tax compliance and data gathering
• Use tax software to complete simple returns for review
• Assist with quarterly estimates and extensions
• Assist in responding to IRS notices
• Collaborate with client service teams
