Job description

Tax Intern

Our Tax Specialists provide strategies on how to plan today to minimize our clients’ taxes in the future. Our philosophy at Hantz Group is that Tax Planning is a proactive process that requires monitoring our clients’ tax situation throughout the year to deliver tax projections before preparation of their final tax return.

As a Tax Intern, you will be integrated into the Family Office. Working closely with CPAs, Accountants, and Financial Advisors will broaden your knowledge about tax accounting and its relationship with financial services. Our flexible working hours will allow you to gain valuable hands‑on experience while obtaining your degree. Full‑time and part‑time opportunities are available throughout the year.

Essential Job Functions
  • Analyze tax liability

Education / Knowledge & Skills
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities

  • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications

  • Highly motivated and a self‑starter
  • Strong leadership qualities and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • In pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
  • Intentions of completing Enrolled Agent and/or Certified Public Accountant license
  • Ability to obtain an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
