Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an entry-level associate to support the tax interview process in our Edenton, NC office. You will enter client and W-2 information, assist in assembling returns, obtain signatures, and review the final product with clients to ensure quality service.

Strong reading and math abilities, plus experience with Windows-based software, are essential. You will contribute to delivering superior service to all clients while performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong reading and math skills to complete tax interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service
• All other duties as assigned
