Vision for Role

We are seeking a CPA to fill the role of Tax Expert. You will serve as your client’s strategic partner, processor, and protector to deliver industry-leading customer service in profit & tax planning without bill shock, dread, or worry.

Areas of Ownership

• Profit and tax planning
• Seasonal federal and state tax filings and analysis
• Complete and advise on quarterly estimated income tax payments
• Complete QuickBooks and/or Xero Book Looks as needed and provide financial snapshots
• Conduct cash flow analysis and financial forecasting as assigned
• Manage onboarding and renewals
• Promote client and team success

Role Requirements

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
• 4-7 years of experience in accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and/or operations, with priority in tax
• 4-7 years in client success, account management, tax planning, and tax preparation
• Proficiency with Google Apps (Mail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Meet, etc.)
• Experience adopting cloud-based technology (Canopy, Drake, Xero, QuickBooks, etc.)
• Ability to enhance client relationships and retention
• Highly organized and detail-oriented in client work and project management
• Discretion handling confidential information
• Caring, empathetic communicator and valuable resource
• Experience working virtually in an entrepreneurial environment and adaptable to change
• Home office setup that is quiet, professional, and productivity-maximizing

Position Overview

This part-time, hourly Profit & Tax Pro role offers 20 hours per week, with potential to transition to full-time within 6-12 months based on performance and needs. Benefits include a 401k plan, unlimited PTO after 90 days, 10 paid holidays, and paid travel for quarterly or annual team retreats and client events.

We provide a fully remote work environment and various growth opportunities. Employees are eligible for a voluntary profit-sharing program after six months of service.

Position Salary

Hourly pay range: $32-$38.
