Job summary

StartCHURCH Georgia, Inc. is seeking a Federal Compliance Specialist to support nonprofit organizations in securing federal tax-exempt status. This full-time role requires residency in GA with occasional commuting to the Winder headquarters.

The position offers a hybrid schedule and opportunities to contribute to mission-critical projects for pastors and ministries. The ideal candidate will manage document packages, maintain client communications, and collaborate with a team of specialists to

Qualifications

Spanish reading, writing, and speaking preferred.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to diffuse challenging situations and de-escalate clients.
Strong document preparation and formatting skills.
Proficient computer and research abilities.
Experience with MacOS, Slack, Zoom, and other listed tools preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare IRS response letters for applications requiring additional information, clarification, or follow-up correspondence after submission.
Produce a minimum of ten complete federal document packages weekly.
Communicate proactively with clients to ensure progress through each phase and timely submission of required materials.
Maintain consistent, timely, and professional correspondence with clients through email, phone, and other approved channels.
Interoperate with internal teams to ensure smooth handoffs and service consistency.
