State of Louisiana’s Department of Revenue is seeking a Revenue Management Consultant to join the Individual Tax Enforcement Division. The position is a promotional or detail opportunity open only to current permanent classified employees.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience in accounting, financial auditing, tax administration, tax policy or law, management analysis, or administrative services in a financial setting.
• Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus three years of experience in accounting, financial auditing, tax administration, tax policy or law, management analysis, or administrative services in a financial setting.
• A bachelor's degree plus three years of experience in accounting, financial auditing, tax administration, tax policy or law, management analysis, or administrative services in a financial setting.
• An advanced degree or Juris Doctorate plus two years of experience in accounting, financial auditing, tax administration, tax policy or law, management analysis, or administrative services in a financial setting.
• Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or a current Louisiana license to practice law plus one year of experience in accounting, financial auditing, tax administration, tax policy or law, management analysis, or administrative services in a financial setting.
• EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Responsabilités

• Perform complex testing assignments and provide training on new procedures when needed.
• Work with the Revenue Management Analyst and Revenue Tax Assistant Directors to detect system problems and determine if and when system changes are needed.
• Organize and coordinates work activities for testing and system-change validation to minimize rework and take advantage of cross functional and related processes.
• Develop course material, analyze the divisions "on the job" training requirements, and verify that computer training is consistent within division sections.
