Kodiak Gas Services seeks a Tax Director to oversee the U.S. income tax function, including compliance, provision, planning, and controversy, aligning with the company’s strategic objectives.

Reporting to the Vice President of Tax, you will lead the income tax team, coordinate with cross-functional groups and external advisors, and drive tax forecasting and strategic outcomes for a public company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Certified Public Accountant required.
• 10+ years of progressive tax experience with a public company, or a mix of accounting firm and in-house.
• Experience with complex structures including partnerships, corporations, and joint ventures.
• Energy (oil & gas, power) industry experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Own the end to end U.S. income tax lifecycle, including compliance, provision, planning, and controversy.
• Manage timely and accurate completion of all U.S. income tax filings, payments, and related reports.
• Lead the quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provision process to ensure high quality, accurate tax accounting, reporting, and disclosures.
• Identify and record uncertain tax positions and maintain appropriate reserves.
• Oversee recording and reconciliation of all tax-related accounts.
• Coordinate international reporting and compliance with external advisors, as applicable.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on tax issues and support accounting and finance functions.
• Promote and support development of the tax team under the Vice President, Tax.
