Technology Organization is seeking a Director of Tax to lead US tax accounting, reporting under ASC 740, and coordinate with regional leaders. This role drives tax strategy, planning, and compliance across the organization.

The position is based in Arlington, VA with 1-2 days onsite, offering a substantial salary and bonus potential, and a focus on process improvements and cross-functional partnership within Finance and Legal.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the quarterly and annual income tax provision under ASC 740, including effective tax rate analysis and deferred tax accounting.
• Lead all U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance activities with accurate and timely filings.
• Maintain a strong tax control environment with SOX compliance and robust tax governance.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, FP&A, Legal, and business leaders to advise on tax implications of strategic initiatives.
• Manage tax audits and inquiries, coordinating with external advisors to minimize risk.
