Job summary

BPM LLP is seeking a Tax Director within BPM's Private Client Services (PCS) practice to serve as a strategic advisor for high-net-worth individuals and families, guiding sophisticated tax planning, consulting, and compliance across various tax domains.

You will lead engagements, oversee complex research, and help clients preserve and grow wealth through proactive tax strategies, all while mentoring staff and delivering high-quality client service.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in public accounting with emphasis on Tax.
• BS/BA in Accounting or related field (Masters degree a plus).
• Licensed CPA or EA certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax compliance and consulting to a diverse base of high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
• Oversee complex tax research projects for a variety of clients and industries.
• Work with clients to minimize their federal, state, and local tax liability.
• Supervise tax associates' assignments and manage day-to-day delivery of tax consulting services.
• Develop and motivate tax seniors and associates through coaching and leadership.
• Manage multiple engagements and deliver high-quality products timely and efficiently.

In this role, you will lead sophisticated tax planning, consulting, and compliance engagements across individual, trust, estate, gift, and closely held business taxation. Note: Candidates residing within commuting distance of a BPM office will be expected to follow a hybrid work schedule

Requirements:

• 7 or more years’ experience in public accounting with an emphasis on Tax.
• BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field (Masters degree a plus)
• Licensed CPA or EA certified
• Capability to research and oversee complex tax issues and projects with an exposure to a variety of entities and industries.
• Able to manage multiple complex projects and deliver in a timely manner.
• Ability and/or interest in generating and building business, delegating work and manage staff.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
