Job summary

BPM, a leading firm with a Private Client Services practice, seeks a Tax Director to guide sophisticated tax planning and advisory work for high-net-worth individuals, families, executives, and family offices. You will drive strategic tax engagements across trusts, estates, and closely held businesses.

The role emphasizes research, staff development, and collaboration with clients to optimize wealth and succession planning. Hybrid work is expected where applicable.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in public accounting with emphasis on Tax.
• BS/BA degree in Accounting (Masters degree a plus).
• Licensed CPA or EA certification.
• Capability to research and oversee complex tax issues across a variety of entities and industries.
• Able to manage multiple complex projects and deliver in a timely manner.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax compliance and consulting to a diverse base of high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
• Oversee complex tax research projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries.
• Work with clients to minimize their federal, state, and local tax liability.
• Supervise tax associates' assignments and manage the day-to-day delivery of tax consulting services to the client.
• Develop and motivate tax seniors and associates by reviewing their work and providing them with counseling, leadership and career guidance.
• Manage multiple engagements and deliver high-quality products timely and efficiently.

Note: Candidates residing within commuting distance of a BPM office will be expected to follow a hybrid work schedule

Requirements:

• 7 or more years’ experience in public accounting with an emphasis on Tax.
