The Tax Director/Partner in the Financial Services group at Anchin will be a senior leadership role responsible for providing strategic tax advice and services to clients within the financial services industry, including private equity and funds. This role involves managing client relationships, leading tax planning and compliance efforts, ensuring regulatory adherence, and driving business development initiatives. The Tax Director/Partner will also mentor and develop a team of tax professionals.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the financial services industry.
2. Provide high-level tax advisory services, including tax planning, structuring, and compliance.
3. Identify and mitigate tax risks while ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
4. Keep abreast of changes in tax legislation and inform clients of relevant updates.
5. Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
6. Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
7. Provide guidance and training to staff on technical tax issues and professional development.
8. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the financial services industry.
9. Develop proposals, pitch to potential clients, and negotiate service agreements.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA required.
• Experience: 10+ years in tax, focusing on the financial services industry. Solid experience with Private Equity and Hedge Funds. Strong knowledge of tax laws affecting financial clients. Proven leadership in high-performing teams. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and client relationship skills. Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office.
