We are in search of a dynamic and experienced Tax Director to join our robust Accounting and Finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a rapidly growing organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of tax reporting, compliance, planning and strategy. This is a high visibility role that will work closely with senior management and various departments within the organization. • Oversee and manage all corporate tax operations including tax planning, compliance, and preparation of tax returns.
• Develop and implement effective tax strategies to support corporate goals.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and foreign tax laws.
• Review and approve tax returns for individuals (1040), partnerships, and corporations.
• Provide expert advice on tax implications of business decisions and potential acquisitions.
• Manage and resolve tax audits and controversies.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and analyze their impact on the company.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide tax-related guidance and support.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners and stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing tax team.
  
  

Job Details

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An advanced degree such as an MST or JD/LLM is preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
• A minimum of 5+ years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting firm or a corporate tax department.
• Extensive experience with partnership tax matters and individual tax returns (1040).
• Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local tax codes as well as international tax regulations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Proficient in tax software and technology.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
