Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of professional experience managing re-certifications and compliance for Section 8 and affordable multifamily properties.
• Deep knowledge of LIHTC, Section 8, and HUD regulatory requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite is highly desirable.
• At least one year LIHTC experience and one year HUD regulations.

Responsibilities

• Audit household certifications for affordable housing units to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Generate and process income certifications and re-certifications for Project-Based Section 8 and federally assisted housing.
• Evaluate and authorize move-in certifications and perform quarterly audits of annual re-certifications.
• Track and flag overdue re-certifications to maintain compliance timelines.
• Compile year-end building status reports for tax credit assets and submit electronic filings.
• Verify income and rent ceilings and utility allowance calculations.
• Advise and support property management teams on compliance standards and resident certification workflows.

This pivotal role demands a candidate with a minimum of one year of specialized experience in tax credit or HUD leasing environments, coupled with a comprehensive grasp of compliance protocols governing affordable housing. The successful applicant will play a critical part in maintaining regulatory adherence and ensuring the integrity of resident certification processes across the organization's portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Audit household certifications for all affordable housing units to guarantee alignment with current regulations.
  
• Generate and process income certifications and re-certifications specifically for Project-Based Section 8 and other federally assisted housing programs.
  
• Evaluate and authorize move-in certifications while executing quarterly audits of annual re-certifications for Project-Based Section 8 properties.
  
• Track and flag overdue re-certifications to maintain strict compliance timelines.
  
• Compile year-end building status reports for tax credit assets and finalize all mandatory electronic submissions.
  
• Verify the accurate application of income and rent ceilings, alongside utility allowance calculations.
