Dougherty County Tax Department is seeking a Senior Tax Clerk (Tax Collections) to collect Ad Valorem taxes, assist customers with tax maps, homestead applications, address changes, and related property information. The role requires strong data entry, cash handling, and tax documentation skills.

Responsibilities include processing tax bills, coding data, assisting the public, and supporting homestead and real estate tax processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two (2) years of relative administrative and cashiering experience or equivalent education/training.

Responsabilités

• Collects taxes and maintains a cash drawer.
• Prepares tax bills, levy notices and related documents for mailing or filing.
• Codes and enters data into the computer and assists the public.
• Answers phones and provides information on homestead, maps and ownership.
