Job summary

Swinomish Indian Tribal Community seeks a Tax Administrator to lead the Tribal Tax Authority. You will issue notices, manage assessments and collections, and coordinate with the Accounting Department and the Office of the Tribal Attorney.

You will also handle revenue flows from tribal entities, oversee ILAs, and develop tax codes with the Senate. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, strong supervision skills, and experience in tribal tax matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; preference for Finance, Accounting, Business or Paralegal fields.
• Experience with tribal tax issues and related codes helpful.
• Experience supervising staff and managing deadlines, timesheets, and leave requests.

Responsibilities

• Issue valuation notices and tax assessments; coordinate with CFO and OTA.
• Collect and distribute tribal tax revenues; manage tax bills and taxpayer communications.
• Draft tax rulings and procedures; supervise Tax Authority staff and budget.
