Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 15 college credits in accounting, tax, or auditing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience with 15 credits in these areas.
• Educational requirements can be met within 6 months of graduation.
• Must reside in or relocate to Blair, Cambria, or Centre County in PA prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Audit Training: learn to conduct sales and use tax audits for compliance.
• Field Experience: gain hands-on audit site exposure.
• Record Review: research departmental records to understand tax history.
• Taxpayer Contact: communicate with taxpayers or representatives to schedule audits.
• Document Analysis: examine financial records to determine correct tax liabilities.
• Report Preparation: prepare work papers, schedules, and narratives documenting audit findings.
