The North Carolina Department of Commerce, Division of Employment Security, seeks a Finance and Business Compliance Analyst II to perform audits of employers and enforce tax laws. This full-time position (40 hours per week) includes health insurance and retirement benefits, with a recruitment range of $47,703–$70,107.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Employment Security Law and Internal Revenue Code as applicable to entities.
• Ability to maintain knowledge of State and Federal laws to independently resolve unemployment tax issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsabilités

• Audit required financial records of employers to determine compliance with Employment Security Laws.
• Conduct interviews with employers, employees, attorneys, accountants and other parties.
• Issue Subpoena Duces Tecum as needed for obtaining records.
• Assist in collection and investigative actions related to tax compliance.
