Job summary

CLA Southwest Florida locations are seeking Tax/Audit Interns. This internship is preferred to be full-time, with a part-time option at a minimum of 30 hours per week. Start date anticipated January 2028 and end date April 2028.

Responsibilities include tax return preparation and various assurance services for client engagements. Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA eligibility in view, and a willingness to learn new technologies while traveling to

Qualifications

• Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA exam eligibility per state requirements preferred.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns.
• Performs audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
• Gains experience with procedures, workpapers and systems.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget.
• Expands industry knowledge through training opportunities.
• Completes research and special projects as needed.
• Communicates with clients and CLA family members regularly.
