CLA is seeking Tax/Audit Interns for our Livingston, NJ and New York, NY offices. The roles start January 2028 and end April 2028. We seek candidates pursuing a bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance with CPA eligibility and a solid foundation in accounting principles.

This internship provides exposure to tax work, audits, and client engagements within CLA’s collaborative culture. Applicants should be prepared to learn new technologies, use MS Office tools, and contribute to multiple client

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Credit requirements to sit for the CPA exam per state.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial data reporting.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office products.

Responsabilités

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns.
• Performs audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
• Gains experience, exposure, and knowledge of procedures, workpapers and systems.
• Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress.
• Expands industry knowledge through exposure to peers, clients, and formal training opportunities.
• Completes research and special projects as needed.
• Communicates effectively with clients and CLA family members on a regular basis.
