Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) in Minnesota seeks Tax/Audit Interns across Mankato, Rochester, Owatonna, Austin and New Ulm. This full-time internship requires 40 hours per week and offers exposure to tax and audit engagements within a collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and are on track to sit for the CPA exam. You’ll gain hands-on experience with tax returns, assurance services, and client teams at CLA.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Credit requirements to sit for the CPA exam per state requirements.
• General knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and work across client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns.
• Performs audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
• Gains experience with procedures, workpapers and systems.
• Supports client engagements on time and within budget, communicating progress.
• Expands industry knowledge through exposure to peers, clients, and formal training.
• Completes research and special projects as needed.
• Communicates effectively with clients and CLA family members regularly.
