Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) in Illinois and Indiana is seeking Tax/Audit Interns for on-site roles at Chicago/Oak Brook, IL and Schererville, IN. The internship offers hands-on experience in tax returns, audits, and assurance services, with exposure to client engagements and formal training opportunities.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with CPA eligibility in view, and a willingness to travel to client sites.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
Eligible to sit for the CPA exam per state requirements.
General knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns.
Performs audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
Gains experience with procedures, workpapers and systems.
Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget, communicating progress.
Expands industry knowledge through exposure to peers, clients, and training opportunities.
Completes research and special projects as needed.
Communicates effectively with clients and CLA family members regularly.
