Job summary

Grant Thornton International Ltd. is seeking a Tax Associate to join our team in a role focused on tax consulting and return preparation for various entities and industries.

You will work closely with seniors, managers, and partners on engagements across Federal Corporate and Partnership, State and Local Tax, International Tax, and Private Wealth services. We offer opportunities within a collaborative environment, with travel to client sites and a hybrid work model requiring in-person attendance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Juris Doctorate, or Tax LLM.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Completion of necessary education hours for CPA licensure or licensed attorney status.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Review data input, identify and resolve tax issues; assist review of tax preparation by colleagues.
• Respond to IRS and other taxing authorities inquiries.
• Identify, research, and assess tax issues; provide information to senior staff.
• Provide on-the-job training to junior staff members.
• Identify and carry out other projects as assigned.
• Collaborate with client team members and build strong client relationships.
• Other duties as assigned.
