KPMG LLP's Washington National Tax practice is seeking a Tax Associate to join our team. You will provide tax services to corporate clients, draft memoranda, research complex issues, and collaborate with other groups on client matters.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing and have obtained by start date the JD and/or LLM in Taxation, or equivalent
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
• Coursework or knowledge of basic corporate tax principles preferred
• Coursework or minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science or data analytics preferred
• Strong in technical, business acumen and agility skills and collaborative leadership
• Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills, with a resourceful work style
• Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office and be able to travel to client locations
• Ability to travel and work on-site at client premises as needed, with short notice
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

• Provide tax services to corporate clients, including involvement on large transactional projects and more discrete analyses on tax issues
• Draft tax memoranda and tax opinions
• Research and analyze complex corporate tax issues
• Collaborate with Washington National Tax and local office professionals on client matters
• Assist with development of firm-wide tax policy and training materials
• Draft technical articles on subchapter C issues for internal and external use
• Build capabilities in AI, Alteryx and Power BI for client service delivery
