Job summary

BDO USA, LLP seeks a Tax Associate, Core Tax Services to assist with tax return preparation and research, applying basic tax knowledge and tax software to complete simple returns for review. You will support compliance and contribute to client-focused tax solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or statistics or CPA certification required (or authorization to test) before start date in your state.
• Master's in accountancy or taxation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures client compliance with authorities while minimizing tax and reporting burdens.
• Prepares and reviews tax returns using appropriate software.
• Assists with income tax provisions and tax accruals under ASC 740 and FIN 48.
• Drafts clear memorandums and correspondence.
• Works with senior staff to complete projects and manage open items.
