DSB Rock Island is seeking a Tax Associate to join our growing tax team. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced professionals while supporting tax compliance and planning services for individuals and trusts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their public accounting career who is eager to develop technical tax knowledge, strengthen client relationships, and gain hands‑on experience in a collaborative, growth‑focused environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Tax Associate, you will assist with the preparation of individual and trust tax returns while supporting clients and team members throughout the tax compliance process. You'll gain exposure to a variety of tax engagements, participate in ongoing professional development, and work with industry‑leading technology in a paperless environment.

  • Prepare individual and trust income tax returns to meet client expectations and filing deadlines
  • Assist with tax return extensions and estimated tax payment calculations
  • Generate federal and state estimated tax payment documentation for clients
  • Participate in tax training and professional development opportunities to expand technical knowledge
  • Communicate professionally with clients, advisors, and team members regarding tax‑related inquiries
  • Utilize industry‑leading tax software and technology solutions in a paperless environment
  • Support special projects and other accounting and tax‑related assignments as needed
  • Prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

Salary Range

$55,000 to $70,000 (depends on experience, credentials, and qualifications)
