Job Title: Tax Analyst

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Analyst to support our client’s tax department with a variety of critical tax-related functions. This fully remote, contract position is ideal for candidates based on the East Coast but open to qualified professionals nationwide. The role involves supporting compliance efforts, preparing returns and disclosures, conducting research, and driving process improvements.

Compensation:

• Up to $29.38/hour
  
  

Work Schedule:

• Standard business hours, Monday through Friday
  
  

Key Responsibilities of the Tax Analyst:

• Support the tax department on various projects and compliance tasks
• Prepare tax returns, filings, and disclosures in accordance with tax regulations
• Maintain tax policies, procedures, and SOX documentation
• Conduct research on tax issues related to ongoing or proposed activities
• Assist with tax audits and ensure timely compliance with audit requests
• Provide guidance to management based on research and analysis of tax issues
• Drive tax process improvements using automation tools and best practices
  
  

Qualifications and Skills for the Tax Analyst:

• 2+ years of experience in tax or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
• Ability to work independently and determine best methods for task execution
