H&R Block in Colorado is seeking a year-round Tax Advisor to prepare complex returns and provide proactive tax guidance in a local Block Advisors office.

You will interview clients to uncover tax implications, offer personalized recommendations, and develop long-term relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service. The role emphasizes accuracy, training, and client-focused support.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience preparing complex individual returns and business returns, including tax planning, audit support, and tax notice resolution.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication; must meet IRS/state requirements and continuing education.

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide personalized recommendations.
• Build year-round client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
