Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Home Office Tax Administrative Associate to support the Chief Tax Officer and senior staff in Birmingham, AL. The role coordinates events, meetings, travel, and prepares reports.

You will handle mail, respond to notices, assist with tax filings, and maintain confidential records as part of a national inpatient rehabilitation leader. This position sits at our Birmingham, AL Home Office and offers growth within a Fortune 100 Best Companies framework.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required or highly preferred for the role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Access and tax software preferred.
Experience in corporate administration, records management, or tax/finance support is a plus.

Responsibilities

Supports Chief Tax Officer and senior team on routine tax matters and special projects.
Plans and coordinates events, meetings, and projects for the department.
Receives and screens visitors and/ or telephone calls and routes to appropriate area or individual.
Prepares correspondence, reports, charts, and graphs, which may be confidential in nature.
Maintains department calendar, files, and documentation; may attend meetings to take minutes.
Assists with processing of various tax returns and responds to federal/state notices.
